How much does a prom limo cost on Long Island in 2027?
Prom transportation is priced by the hour, usually with a minimum booking on Friday and Saturday nights in May and June. Splitting the total across the group is what keeps the per-person cost reasonable.

What does a typical Long Island prom night look like?
Most Nassau and Suffolk proms are held at catering halls, hotels and country clubs, with pre-prom photos at a home or a local park. A typical 6-hour booking runs something like this:
- 4:30 p.m.: Pickup at the first home; parents take photos with the vehicle.
- 5:00–5:45 p.m.: Additional pickups in the same area.
- 6:00 p.m.: Photo stop at a park, beach or waterfront spot the group has chosen.
- 7:00 p.m.: Arrival at the venue.
- 11:00 p.m.: Prom ends and the chauffeur is ready and waiting.
- 11:30 p.m.: Drop-off at the after-prom location or home.
Groups heading to a supervised after-prom or the traditional late-night diner stop can extend the booking by the hour. Tell us about this when you book so the vehicle is held for you.
The rules parents and students should expect
A licensed, insured operator will have clear rules for under-21 groups, and you should be wary of one that doesn’t:
- No alcohol, ever. Underage drinking is illegal, and many schools make this a condition of attending prom. If alcohol is found on board, the trip ends.
- A parent or guardian signs the booking and is the point of contact for the night.
- Passenger list on file, so we know who’s in the vehicle and where each person is going.
- No itinerary changes without the signing parent’s approval.
- The chauffeur stays with the group’s booking for the full reservation.
- Seat belts in Sprinters and SUVs; party buses use perimeter seating by design.
If your school asks for proof of insurance or licensing, let us know when you book and we’ll send it over.
How early should you book a prom limo?
- Winter (January–February): best choice of party buses and Sprinters for May and June Saturdays.
- March–April: stretch limos usually still available; party buses get tighter.
- May: expect limited vehicles on peak Saturdays.
A deposit holds your date; we’ll confirm the deposit and balance terms in writing with your quote.
Prom limo vs party bus vs SUV: which should your group choose?
- Stretch limo (8–10): the classic look for photos, with less headroom for gowns and dancing.
- Party Sprinter (10–14): a favorite for Long Island proms, with standing height, LED ceiling, a sound system and everyone in one vehicle.
- Party bus (18–30): for the whole friend group, with wraparound seating and room to move.
- Escalade (up to 6): for couples or a small group who want quiet luxury. It has the lowest cost per vehicle and the highest cost per person.

Can we split payment among the families?
Yes. One parent signs the booking, and we can take payment from more than one card toward the balance.
Are decorations allowed?
Balloons and banners are usually fine. Please skip confetti, glitter and anything adhesive. Check with us when you book.
What if prom runs late?
The chauffeur waits for the group. Extra time is billed at the hourly rate, and we’ll explain how overtime works in your quote.
